I got AMBOSS 1st year of med school and I’m still using it 3rd year of residency. Qbank and Knowledge app. Step 1 through residency boards. AMBOSS constantly learns exactly what we want and delivers a stellar product to match that. Anki? Their add-on was the first innovation in that space, they were the first to venture into our world of Anki, and they crushed it, offering features I hadn’t dreamt of. And AMBOSS Qbank questions are directly linked to their concise library articles so you can see what you’ve missed. AMBOSS hands you custom study plans based on your missed Qs. And somehow they write everything with precision and concise phrasing that has proven to be unbeatable by any other platform; “medical knowledge distilled” is an apt motto! Their diagrams?! Can NOT be beat. Their radiographs with overlay toggle?! Clinical resources like med dosages and guidelines?! Links to the papers?!! Walkthroughs of algorithms?! Now an AI that grabs the article content for you?!?! COME. ON. This isn’t even a debate. AMBOSS has managed to remain, for at least 7 years, head and shoulders above UWorld and any other Qbank, and better than any content aggregation platform in terms of convenience, accuracy, and precision (get out of here UpToDate you purveyor of wordy narratives incapable of getting to the point). “Finely honed” is the best way to sum up the products AMBOSS gives us. Seriously, I honestly believe they don’t sit around a table aiming to make money, they aim to please (excellent biz model IMO, cuz clearly the success follows). Oh and btw their customer service has always been *excellent.* I am not connected with AMBOSS in any way other than an avid user of it (would’ve been an ambassador but didn’t have the time to look into it, but clearly I love it). I honestly hope, for your success and for your patients’ health, that you don’t waste your time on another product. AMBOSS is the Swiss Army knife of succeeding at every stage of your medical journey.

I really want to give it 5 stars, but the ios app needs a lot of work. Not only can we not highlight text, we also can't increase the size of the text as far as I can tell. Combine the size of the text with no dark mode on ios and you get a pretty unpleasant experience. I'm coping with "smart invert" for now, but the other limitations remain. I love that the qbank app regardless of device allows you to curate the question bank according to so many customizable parameters. It would also be nice to have some sort of digital notebook to type notes into while studying instead of having to switch apps. I wasn't able to find any other place for step 2 clinical pharmacology, so Amboss is gold. Thank you for providing the world with this service.

Hi, I think amboss is an amazing resource. I am in my preclinical years and this is by far the best bang for your buck. The questions range from easy to hard, and I mean challenging your mind brain hurts hard. The explanations are fabulous and the integration between the library and knowledge is nothing spectacular but gets the job done. The reason why I didn’t give this 5 stars has nothing to do with the quality of amboss but the app doesn’t allow you to highlight key things in the passage which is a super downfall because that’s how I take my tests. Also, I only use my iPad for school so I cannot reap the benefits of using the amboss Anki add on on my iPad, which is disappointing. Overall love the app and recommend it for anyone who wants to challenge themselves and be a better doctor.
