I’m a Willow addict and I wish so many more Americans watched this great sport and channel. But this app is so bad that it cannot be helping that cause. So much simply doesn’t work in this app. Playing videos has been all but impossible for me on both the iPad (old, but the App Store says it’s compatible) and iPhone (fairly new model). Literally, the play arrow does nothing 99% of the time even when you tap right on it. And trying to launch a live video is a horror show — it hangs every time and the only way out is to quit the app and reboot it. On the rare occasions when I can launch a highlight video, there’s no AirPlay compatibility. I’m fine watching through a browser (although of course limited to the device — no casting as noted!) or on the TV channel when what I want is there, but this utter piece of junk should be scrapped outright. Start over, pay real money for a real developer and get it right like so many other services do (Ski & Snowboard being a great example).

There’s SO much wrong with this app. The worst is that despite paying a subscription, I have to watch ads each and every time, and they can be anywhere between 10 seconds to 2 minutes long, and non-skippable in many cases. Even if you leave the stream for 1 second and join again, you’ll have to waste 20-30 seconds for the ad; not conducive when watching an important match! The stream can kick you out randomly, happens once an hour I think, which makes this problem worse. There’s no pause-play function either, so even if you accidentally get the stream paused (like by taking out AirPods), there’s no way to resume the stream, so have to quit the app and restart again (and watch an ad again)! Really haven’t seen any other streaming app suffer so many problems. Works fine on AppleTV or through web

I recently downloaded the Willow TV application for IPL 2023. Unfortunately, I'm left utterly disappointed and frustrated by the app's terrible user experience and glaring lack of basic features. The user interface is far from intuitive, making it a cumbersome task to navigate through the app. Menus and controls are not user-friendly, and finding desired content is a challenge in itself. For an application that's supposed to provide a streamlined viewing experience, this level of inefficiency is just unacceptable. Even more disheartening is the fact that the application fails to respond to media controls while watching videos. This means you can't pause, play, rewind or fast-forward content, which is a fundamental expectation for any video-based application. Overall, the Willow TV app is an annoying experience that could greatly benefit from a comprehensive redesign and a serious focus on user experience. As it stands, I can't recommend this app to anyone until these significant issues are addressed. The developers need to take immediate action to rectify these problems and meet the basic expectations that any user would have from a modern-day video streaming application.
